  • Advisor

Maggie is a business, strategy and governance advisor and former CEO of pioneering fan-owned football club, Lewes FC, the world’s first to split revenue equally between its male and female teams, overseeing a dramatic increase in attendance, revenue and other growth metrics during her five year tenure. She held prior senior anti-corruption and human rights advocacy roles at Transparency International, Amnesty International and Minority Rights Group International, leading global lobbying efforts at the UN, G20 and OECD. Maggie was elected onto the Barclays WSL/WC Board in 2021 for a three year term, engaging in the negotiations leading to the establishment of the Women's Professional Leagues and made the 2023 BBC Women’s Hour “Power List” of the thirty most influential women in UK sport. • Professional Footballer

Rhian Cleverly is a footballer for Rugby Borough FC in the FA Women’s National League. Previously at Lewes FC, she captained the team for 4 seasons and was the 2nd woman to be inducted into the club’s Hall of Fame for her leadership on and off the pitch. For example, leading the team to an FA Cup Quarter Final vs Man United, while co-running a player led #EqualFACup prize money campaign. She leads with authenticity, empathy, and enjoyment, helping teammates be their best.

Rhian has had an international football career; representing Wales at youth and senior level, gaining a scholarship at DI Hofstra University in New York and playing professionally at Le HAC in France. Despite these highs, she is no stranger to the ugly side of the beautiful game having been released from her professional contract in France, returning from 3 hip surgeries, and recently being relegated from the FA Championship with Lewes. More proud of the lows she’s overcome than the highs she’s achieved she uses these experiences as personal motivation and to help inspire others to grow from their lows.

Rhian works part-time for a Sussex based charity (Love Local Jobs Foundation) inspiring young people through speeches, workshops and mentoring to overcome challenges and reach their potential. She is also setting-up a business (HerGoal) to help female footballers build fulfilling, sustainable dual-careers - allowing them to be their best selves on and off the pitch. She is determined to create positive change to enable female footballers to go from struggling to survive to high performance, wellbeing and living a life where they can thrive.

  • COO and Head of Football for Lewes FC

Kelly played internationally for the USA Women's national team. She attended Notre Dame University, where she was two-time team captain. Upon graduation, she was the number-one pick of the Women's United Soccer Association college draft in 2001. Her team, the San Jose CyberRays, went on to win the world championship that year.

As a coach, Kelly guided five university teams with a clear focus of developing elite student athletes who would succeed in life far beyond the football field. She also took the helm of Sky Blue FC, part of the newly formed Women's Professional Soccer League, going on to win the 2009 Championship. Kelly was Technical Director of two clubs in Hong Kong and China, and the Head Coach of the Afghanistan Women's National Team from 2016-2019.

In 2020, Kelly then took on the role of Director of Women's Football for the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, where she helped lead the way on the country's first Women’s Football Strategy and Implementation, with the target that the women’s team would qualify for their first Women’s World Cup, which they did and progressed into the Round of 16 in 2023.

Kelly made the move to England and served as the Sporting Director and Head of Performance at Lewes FC, leading the strategic operations of improving football performance across the cub for the men, women and youth pathway teams.

Kelly then took a season and led as the Head Coach of Ittihad FC Women, in the newly formed Saudi Arabia Women’s Premier League.

2024 sees Kelly return to Lewes FC as the COO and Head of Football. The club sets to rebuild their governance framework and business strategy, striving to be the first professional women’s team in England operating with a financially sustainable business model.

Her 20+ years career spans big campaigns for international brands like American Express, Selfridges and Pernod Ricard, and more recently Rogue Matters, her creative communications practice. Her speciality is supporting solo business owners with the language, strategic guidance and a wealth of imagination to proudly take their business out into the world. • Players Services Executive, PFA (Players Football Association)

Victoria is a former professional player and has joined the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) as a Player Services Executive for women’s football. In her role, she helps female members engage with the PFA’s support services and ensure that player voices are represented throughout the development of the women’s professional game.

Williams retired from playing in May 2023 after a long and successful career in the women’s game. A Yorkshire local, she started out as a youth player with Doncaster Rover Belles, a club she would return to in 2009 and 2013 for spells as a senior.

She also spent time with Chelsea and Sunderland before ending her playing career at Brighton and Hove Albion after five years, a club she proudly captained on a number of occasions.

She now joins the PFA’s player services department, overseeing the union’s engagement with WSL clubs and liaising with players around the union’s various initiatives and support networks.

“When it came to the end of my playing career, I just thought ‘with all these experiences, I have something to give back to the game.’” Williams said.

“I myself have benefited from the services that the PFA offer, and I want to amplify what the organisation can actually do.

“Sometimes people think that the PFA is only there when something is wrong. But there are so many ways that players can futureproof what they’re going to do while they’re playing in terms of education and post-career.”

Williams will work alongside Head of Women’s Football Marie-Christine Bouchier, and fellow former Brighton professional and player services executive Fern Whelan. With the women’s game facing unprecedented change, Williams will support the players services department in ensuring that member voices are heard and represented.
